Feed the Hungry Will be serving delicious food after services next weekend, proceeds will benefit their upcoming outreach to Tecate, Mexico.

Fall Movie Night and Community Outreach Join us this coming Friday! Popcorn, lemonade, and hot chocolate will be served at 7:00pm, the movie will begin at 7:15. We will be showing the inspiring and true story, Different Drummers. When David, in a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy, accurately foretells the death of their fourth grade teacher, a doubtful Lyle decides to test the existence of God by attempting to get David to run again. Recommended by the Dove Foundation for all ages, Rated PG. Please bring your own chair and a blanket for the cool night air.

Fresh Start/New Believers Class Join with other believers in all stages of life to receive support and encouragement as you nurture and grow your relationship with Jesus Christ! Our Fresh Start class is a study of fundamental Biblical doctrines, basic Bible principles, and practical issues for the new Christian. This 8-week course is free, will start on Thursday, October 5th,7:30-8:30pm in classroom 205. Sign-up at the information counter. Devoted is Back! Through the month of October, we will be studying the lives of Abraham and Sarah. This will be a 4-week study on each Friday night in October from 7:00 - 9:00pm. We will start promptly with a potfaith dinner, immediately followed by the Bible study. If you're married or planning to get married, we look forward to seeing you there. Women of the Word Will begin a new Bible Study series starting October 7th and meeting the first and third Saturdays, 9:30-12:00. We will be using the book A Woman’s High Calling by Elizabeth George: a study from Titus 2:3-4 where we find God’s 10 most important priorities for women – priorities that reveal the character qualities He values most. Childcare will be available. The cost of the book and materials is $15.00, please sign up at the information counter.

Steve McQueen the Movie A terrific evangelical witnessing tool presented by Greg Laurie. This movie openly discusses how Steve McQueen met Jesus, an opportunity at the end of the film will be given for moviegoers to make the same decision that Steve made: to commit their life to Christ. Pray, invite, and bring someone who needs Jesus! This inspiring film is only showing on Thursday, September 28th, 7:00pm ~ Long Beach Stadium 26 located at 7501Carson Blvd., L.B. and also at Cerritos 10 and Norwalk 20. Night of Worship Sunday night, October 15th, we will be having a night of fellowship and worship. At 5:30 pm doors will open, and we will have quality pizza, salad and specialty coffee drinks. At 6:00 pm we will begin a time of engaging worship, prayer and communion led by a band formed by Christian Ortega. Koinonia Bookstore This month’s book of the month is actually a DVD, The Case for Christ, a true story about a hard-driving journalist and atheist, Lee Strobel. This is a wonderful movie depicting God’s Redemptive Power and Salvation. On sale now for $17.99, as heard on K-WAVE radio, 107.9FM. Copies of the August book of the Month War Room are still available on sale for $9.99.
